About

Living Wheel Life
USA, Ohio

Bio: I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I recently gave up my job as a medical secretary for a gastroenterologist. I love to travel, cook, craft, read and I am completely addicted to Pinterest. My life was changed beyond anything I could have ever imagined the summer of 2008. I started to have extreme banding pain around my waist at 3:30pm and by 9:30pm that evening I was completely paraplegic. I was later diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis; a very rare neurological event. I formed a lesion at the T-10. I didn't recover any movement. This has not defined my life in anyway...it's not "if I can do it, but how can I do it" I have much faith and believe all things happen for a reason. I want to share my journey and what I have learned so far. My goal is to encourage you to live your life as if nothing has changed.

  1. Thank you for finding my blog and following me, so that I could find yours. What a beautiful spirit you have! There’s some amazing coincidences, too — in addition to my writing life, I am also a lawyer advocating for disability rights, including increasing access to public places of all kinds. Keep on doing what you are doing!
